Summer Study in New York

The Institute is currently developing the course schedule for Summer Study New York 2018. Complete details and registration will be available in early December 2017. Many of the courses below will be offered during Summer Study New York 2018.

Come and take advantage of all New York City has to offer as one of the great art capitals of the world, through our New York Summer Study Program. Our 2 and 4-week courses in the areas of art business, contemporary art and art history are comprised of in-class lectures, site visits and guest speakers giving you privileged access to both art venues and the expertise of practicing art professionals. Enjoy our newly renovated campus including additional classroom, café and student meeting spaces, as well as a spectacular expanded library, housed in a classic Art Deco building in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.

In addition to our experiential courses, you will have the opportunity to attend:

  • Site visits to Sotheby’s Auction House, historical New York City neighborhoods and other exclusive art venues.
  • Lunchtime lectures given by experts on topics including auctions, careers in the art world, art advisory, the art market and much more.
  • Social events with fellow students.
