Image as Object — On view December 13 - 18, 2017

In Image as Object, five artists push the boundaries of what a photograph can be in an image saturated world. Amy Ritter, Tasha Lewis, Dan Swindel, Alice Quaresma, and Katie Westmoreland experiment with form and material, but keep image-making as a core component of their process. Utilizing painting, sculpture, textile, and collage, these artists are re-thinking the photographic form, and in turn, what it means to be a photographer.

The show is curated by Sotheby’s Institute of Art graduate student Kaitlyn Ward.

Opening Reception: December 13, 2017 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
